I am Hmong
I am American
I am a Womxn
and so much more.
I fall prey to Hmong and American cultures —
their ideas of what is right and wrong.
Too often
are both societies molding me
to be who they think I should be.
They willfully neglect the fact:
I just want to freely be me.
